People believe that after a person dies, the person will come back to earth again in another body. This belief is common in some religions and cultures.
However, the Bible does not support reincarnation. The Bible teaches that every human being has only one life to live on earth. After death comes judgment before God. The book of Hebrews clearly says “It is appointed unto men once to die but after this the judgment”, this means human beings do not die many times and return again and again to the world.
Jesus Christ also spoke about eternal life, heaven and hell. He never taught that people would return to earth in another body. In the story of the rich man and Lazarus, both men died and faced their eternal destiny. There was no second chance to come back to earth and live another life.
Reincarnation can make people believe they have unlimited opportunities to change but the Bible teaches that salvation must be accepted now. Today is the day to repent and follow God, our actions on earth matter because life is short and precious.
As Christians, our hope is not to come back again and again to this world. Our hope is in the resurrection through Jesus Christ. On the last day, believers will receive a new and glorious body but this is different from reincarnation because it is God’s promise of eternal life for those who trust in Him.
Therefore, according to the Bible, reincarnation is not biblical. Christians are called to live holy lives, serve God faithfully and prepare for eternity with Him.
