Today is the 18th day of April,2021.
I want to contribute to the question of today:
WHAT IS THE PROPER WAY OF TEACHING CHILDREN ABOUT THE CHURCH? (2/2)
First and foremost, we need to establish the fact that life Offers 2 pleasures viz:
👉The pleasure that comes during the development stage
👉The pleasure of serving God.
Moses illustrates both. How?🤷🤷🤷
He lived in Pharaoh's and had all it's pleasures it brings. These he ditched for the 2nd.
He also discovered the pleasure of serving God's purpose. This led him to refuse to be called the son of Pharaoh's daughter & choose to rather suffer for God and His people, than to enjoy the pleasure of sin for a season (Heb. 11:24-26).
One might ask, 🤔 why Moses did this?
Because He esteemed the reproach of Christ greater riches than the treasures of Egypt.
Our duty is to make our youths understand that there's:
The pleasure of sin which is temporary and has no earthly and eternal value
And the pleasure of serving God whose eternal value even surpasses its earthly value and is permanent. Such values include, ☮️ Peace, Joy, beauty beyond earthly description.
