Salvation is a free gift which we get from God for being good and obeying his Commandments. Salvation come to us because of the grace of God and the faith which we have in him. This means that no amount of external religious activity can replace a genuine relationship with God.
Religion is not the major foundation of salvation from God, but religion helps us to seek the face of God which we can easily gain salvation. The Bible often warns against relying only on outward religion while the heart remains unchanged. Jesus criticized religious leaders who followed rules but lacked true faith and love, showing that religion without sincerity is empty.
However, true faith often expresses itself through actions that may look religious, such as prayer, worship, and fellowship. These practices are not the means of salvation but are evidence of a transformed life. They help believers grow spiritually and stay connected to God and others who share the same faith.
