Prayer starts with a sincere heart before coming to God. God is not moved by many words or outward show, but by honesty and faith from within. Jesus warned against praying just to be seen by others and encouraged believers to pray privately, with a true connection to God. When we come before Him with humility, acknowledging our dependence on Him, He listens and responds according to His will.
Another important way to pray is with faith and persistence, trusting that God hears every word. We are encouraged to pray according to His will, with thanksgiving and a forgiving spirit toward others. Prayer should not only be about asking but also about praising and trusting God. As the Bible says,
“And whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive” (Matthew 21:22).
