According to James 1:27 and Isaiah 58:10–12, "Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, to visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction and to keep himself unspotted from the world." Taking care of others is a biblical mandate, not a suggestion.
It is a quality that everyone who identifies as a believer ought to have. We shouldn't go about our regular lives unaware of this.
Doing good to others is one of the things we should be doing if we truly identify as Christians. Not only to our family, but also to our fellow believers. They ought to be treated as family as well, even our enemies, neighbours, and strangers.
He did not limit it to a single category when he commanded us to treat men well. It was broad. This directive is what we were supposed to live by.
