It is not good for a believer to indulge in strive. This does not set a good example to people out there who are looking at us to be Christians. The way we live our lives can either make people believe in the Christianity we proclaim or make them doubt our Christianity and drive them even farther from God.
We shouldn't be the type that promotes violence. Misunderstandings between one another should not lead to us going physical. We should imitate the lifestyle of Jesus Christ. All through his stay on Earth He lived a peaceful life. If we are following His footsteps we'd live our lives in like manner.
Sometimes, as human, it may not be all that easy. But when we rely on the help of God and His Holy Spirit it becomes possible.
The Bible speaking to us in Galatians 5:21 told us about the gifts of the spirit. One of them is tolerance. We should learn to be tolerant. Another gifts of the spirits is patience. We should not neglect being patient with people even though they can be difficult at times.
