Summary of what I learnt from Brother Eli's teachings
I learnt that we should pray for those in authority and pray for those in authority
1 Timothy 2:1-4
I urge you, first of all, to pray for all people. Ask God to help them; intercede on their behalf, and give thanks for them. Pray this way for kings and all who are in authority so that we can live peaceful and quiet lives marked by godliness and dignity. This is good and pleases God our Savior, who wants everyone to be saved and to understand the truth.
I learnt that we should help the needy irrespective of their denomination and religion
James 2:15–16
15 If a brother or sister be naked, and destitute of daily food, 16 And one of you say unto them, Depart in peace, be ye warmed and filled; notwithstanding ye give them not those things which are needful to the body; what doth it profit?
I learnt that we should love our fellow brethren, even though they do not belong to our churches religion or denomination
Colossians 3:14
And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity.
I learnt that we should do good to all even though they are not members of your church
Galatians 6:10
Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, especially to those who belong to the family of believers.
Thanks be to God.
