Summary of what I learnt from the teachings of bro Eli soriano
I learnt that Christ was not Born on December 25th and this doctrine was established by the Roman empire
I learnt that the true date of the birth of Christ is unknown
I learnt that Christmas is not biblical as it is not written in the Bible
I learnt that wise men came from the East to visit Christ and not 3 wise men as believed by the Christian's
Matthew 2:1-2
Now when Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judaea in the days of Herod the king, behold, there came wise men from the east to Jerusalem,Saying, Where is he that is born King of the Jews? for we have seen his star in the east, and are come to worship him.
I learnt that it is wrong to believe a doctrine that is not written in the Bible
1st Corinthians 4 vs 6
Now, brothers and sisters, I have applied these things to myself and Apollos for your benefit, so that you may learn from us the meaning of the saying, “Do not go beyond what is written.” Then you will not be puffed up in being a follower of one of us over against the other.
I learnt that there was no sheep in the manger where Christ was Born
MY FORMER BELIEFS THAT WAS IMPROVED AFTER THE ZOOM MEETING
My former belief was that Jesus Christ was Born on the 25th of December but after the listening to the teachings I now know that the exact date of the birth of Christ is unknown
I also believed that Jesus Christ was visited by 3 wise men after he's birth but after the teachings I now know that Christ was visited by the wise men from the East
WAYS IN WHICH THE ZOOM MEETING AFFECTED US THAT CAN MAKE US BETTER ON OUR DAILY LIVES
- We should never go beyond what the Bible does not account for scripturally
- Christmas is not biblical
- There is no verse of chapter in the Bible that accounted that Christ was Born on the 25th December
- Christ signifies peace and if we have Christ in our lives we have peace always not just on 25th December known as Christmas
