Teaching little children how to keep promises helps to grow and always truthful in what so ever thing they are doing. The Bible shows that God values honesty and faithfulness in every relationship. When adults keep their promises to children, they reflect God’s character and help children learn to trust both people and God. Jesus also showed special care and love toward children, teaching that they are precious in God’s sight.
The Bible warns against making promises carelessly and failing to fulfill them. In
Ecclesiastes 5:5, the Bible says, “It is better not to vow than to make a vow and not fulfill it.”
Children can easily remember every promises you made to them, and when you don't fulfil it, it means you're teaching them how to be unfaithful with their words. Keeping promises teaches children the values of truthfulness, responsibility, and integrity.
