Let us know that in this life we cannot get salvation through going to church everyday, while our heart is bad. God grants us salvation when He sees that we have a clean heart. While religion can guide people toward God through teachings, practices, and community, it is not the ultimate source of salvation. Scripture emphasizes faith over outward religious acts, reminding us that simply following traditions or rituals cannot save a person.
Salvation is a free gift which all men receive directly from God only if we respect and follow his commandments and not the rules which Christianity gives to us. This shows that no amount of religious activity alone can secure salvation. True faith involves trusting in God’s grace and responding with a sincere heart, rather than relying only on external practices.
Religion can still play a supportive role in spiritual growth. It helps believers learn God’s Word, practice obedience, and grow in fellowship with others. When rooted in sincere faith, religious practices can strengthen one’s walk with God but salvation itself comes through Christ alone, not through religion itself.
