Alot of people face the problem of not listening to God's word even though they hears it. Listening to God's words is not the major thing, the major problem is are we doing what God ask us to do. The Bible shows that it is possible to hear with our ears but remain unchanged within. True listening means allowing God’s word to correct, guide, and transform our lives.
In the new testament, alot of people listened to the preaching of Jesus Christ yet they didn't practice what Jesus preached. He compared them to seeds that fall on hard ground where they cannot grow. This shows that the condition of the heart matters more than just the act of hearing. When the heart is proud, distracted, or stubborn, God’s word cannot produce fruit.
