Natural disaster is Sometimes a punishment to us because of our sins. Events like the flood in Noah’s time or the plagues in Egypt show that nature is not independent but subject to God’s authority. Those things serve as a warning to all mankind that God is the ruler of this earth and He is reminding us to come to him.
At the same time, Scripture also connects the brokenness of the natural world to the fall of humanity. The Bible teaches that creation itself is affected by sin, resulting in suffering, disorder, and decay. Natural disasters can therefore be seen as part of a fallen world, pointing to the deeper reality that creation is not as God originally intended it to be.
God usually send natural disaster to free his own people from bondages. God used natural disaster to free his people from Egypt. Jesus referred to tragic events not to assign blame, but to urge people to turn back to God and be spiritually prepared. They remind believers of life’s fragility and the need to trust in God, while also looking forward to the promised restoration when God will make all things new.
