For God to answer our prayers, He watches our sincere heart which we have come to meet him. God shows much concern on our prayers and the faith we have in him, he is not interested on our outward looks. Jesus taught that prayer should not be done to impress others, but in a quiet and personal way, focusing on a real relationship with God.
Matthew 6:6, He says, “But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen.”
The proper way to pray also includes trust, thanksgiving, and submission to God’s will. Jesus gave an example through the Lord’s Prayer, showing that we should honor God, ask for our needs, seek forgiveness, and rely on Him for guidance. Prayer should come with faith, believing that God hears us.
Philippians 4:6 teaches, “Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.”
