Greetings!
Is donating one's part of the body biblical? To me and according to Bro. Eli teachings on this, it's biblical and this is not out of Bro. Eli volition but as commanded by the scripture.
1 John 3:16 Hereby perceive the love of God, because he laid down his life for us: and we ought to lay down our lives for the brethren.
In the above scriptural verse, we were made to know about the love of God for us to the point of laying down his life for us and not only that,we were equally advised down our lives for the brethren.
Looking at this, we will see that there's no sin in us as believers laying down our lives for orders. Although we were not even asked to lay down our lives, but to donate our organs which to me should not be a problem.
Romans 16:3-4 Greet Priscilla and Aquila my helpers in Christ Jesus:
Who have for my life laid down their own necks: unto whom not only I give thanks, but also all the churches of the Gentiles.
Furthermore, in the above scripture, apostle Paul told us about a couple, Priscilla and Aquila who through love laid down their necks for his life.
So, donating one's organ to a brother is an act of love and it's not something evil as people thought it to be. Also, the analogy of Bro. Eli about the eyes being donated to others at their death for some other persons to live is a testament that it's good to donate our organs if the need be.
In conclusion, Bro. Eli, has taught us in this one teaching that it's not something bad or evil to donate our organs, but a thing of love.
Thanks for reading.
