Greetings!
Jesus Christ was just an ordinary person in his first 30 years as he was just an ordinary carpenter, a job he inherited from his earthly father, Joseph.
Joseph, his father was known to be a carpenter and it's this job that he transferred to Jesus Christ. In those days, carpentry work was seen among the jews as a low rank job and for this reason, Jesus Christ was not really recognized for his status as the messiah.
Mark 6:3 Is not this the carpenter, the son of Mary, the brother of James, and Joses, and of Juda, and Simon? And are not his sisters here with us? And they were offended at him.
In the above scriptural verse, the jews were addressing Jesus Christ by his background and the nature of his occupation which was handed over to him by his earthly father, Joseph, a carpenter.
However, it's after the first 30 years and when he was performing miracles, signs and wonders that some of them who knew his background started to believe in him.
But in his first 30 years when he had not been performing miracles, he was just a commoner as he was only carrying on the trade of his early father who had died by then.
In conclusion and according to Bro. Eli, Jesus Christ by occupation is a carpenter, an occupation that's handed over to him by Joseph his earthly father and with this occupation, he was a commoner.
