Hello everyone,am making my contribution or should i say response to the above question with this post.
Matthew wasn't with JESUS in the mountain of transfiguration at all but Peter,James and John were opportuned to be the only 3 apostles with JESUS.Matthew 17:1-5 (KJV) 1 And after six days Jesus taketh Peter, James, and John his brother, and bringeth them up into an high mountain apart,
2 And was transfigured before them: and his face did shine as the sun, and his raiment was white as the light.
3 And, behold, there appeared unto them Moses and Elias talking with him.
4 Then answered Peter, and said unto Jesus, Lord, it is good for us to be here: if thou wilt, let us make here three tabernacles; one for thee, and one for Moses, and one for Elias.
5 While he yet spake, behold, a bright cloud overshadowed them: and behold a voice out of the cloud, which said, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased; hear ye him.
If we take a very good look and conscious observation into that Bible verse we would see that Matthew wasn't even aware of what must have happened.. But remember this... nothing was written in the Bible with out the inspiration and spirit of God.2 Timothy 3:16-17 (KJV) 16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:
17 That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.
Matthew dint write about the story of JESUS and the mountain out of mere say or just hearing but by the permission of GOD and inspiration., thanks and God bless.
