To contribute to the question: Should we know about our future, or should man just take it day by day?
To take it day by day is to live by chances; i.e, living a life of what would be would be.
That's not a life for Christians. As Christians we should know about our future in Christ.
If we don't know how our future looks like, when we get there, we won't be able to recognise it.
Joseph knew about his future via dreams. That guided his life till he achieved it.
David enquired of the Lord, the told him to pursue that he'll overtake and recover all, he did and recovered all.
In proverbs 16:9, the Bible records that we have the power to think of what we want in the future.
It is pertinent to know our future so as to apply our hearts unto wisdom as we daily carry out our activities, according to Psalm 90:12.
