We should learn to follow God the way He wants us to follow Him not with religious sentiments. It's very true that there are things which God has commanded that we should not do. We must accept that it is not everything that appeals to our body that our God will agree that we should do. In fact, it is not every friend that we have that is approved of God. Sometimes, God will want us to shade off some of the companions that we are having now. So we should that God actually has do's and don't's for those who are his followers. Should we obey all those things? Should we not ignore some of them? No, if it is from God, we will have to obey. We can't ignore it.
Watching movies is not one of those acts which God has placed embargo for us. He has not told us not to watch movies. We can watch movies. There are several advantages that can come to the children of God through watching movies. We should watch movies but we must censor ourselves. It is not everything that is displayed on the television that we should watch. There are those contents which are do edifying to the children of God. Some of the movies which are compounded in the world are lustful and resentful. We should not watch the movie that we know that are not good for us.
Christians and watch movies. Christians can produce movies themselves. We can use movies to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ. We can teach the world the life of God through movies. Television is one medium through which we can teach and proclaim the gospel of the kingdom of God.
