Good day Bible readers, Summary of what I learnt on our Mass Indoctrination day 11 on zoom
I believe that as Christians, we should learn to give. Given is a matter of the heart, and if we must give, we must do so gladly, not because we are compelled to give or because we have a grudge in our hearts, but because we should follow the wheel of our hearts.
Numbers 30:2
When a man makes a vow to give something to the Lord or takes an oath to abstain from something, he must not break his promise, but must do everything that he said he would.
A promise is what a vow is. As a result, Christians should understand the significance of vows. When a person makes a vow, it's as if they've already assigned themselves a task to complete. And, as the saying goes, if there is a job you can't perform, don't say you can. As a result, if you make a commitment to God in church about something, you should learn how to uphold it as a believer.
Good News Translation
Acts 18:18 The Return to Antioch Paul stayed on with the believers in Corinth for many days, then left them and sailed off with Priscilla and Aquila for Syria. Before sailing from Cenchreae he had his head shaved because of a vow he had taken.
When we commit to give to God as believers, we must do so cheerfully, not by force. We must give to God as we have promised, and what we receive must be offered willingly.
Good News Translation
Ecclesiastes 5:4-5 So when you make a promise to God, keep it as quickly as possible. He has no use for a fool. Do what you promise to do. Better not to promise at all than to make a promise and not keep it.

2 Corinthians 9:7 You should each give, then, as you have decided, not with regret or out of a sense of duty; for God loves the one who gives gladly.
