It is very normal to desire to do the right thing and still struggle to act on that desire.
Most of us become heartbroken when we finally do the things we desired not to do.
Paul the apostle also by his experience concurred to this fact, he said that the things he desired not to do were what he did, but the things he desired to do, he could not bring himself to do them.
This proves that we cannot overcome sin by depending solely on our strength.
The message here is that we cannot stay without sin if God does not help us.
We need the Holy Siprit to assist us, and we recieve thies spirit through baptism and the renewal of our minds and nolives
When we give that Holy Spirit the chance to direct us, we are strengthened and also wise wnough to make better decisions.
This tells us that we cannot act according to God's will by just depending on our efforts, rather we can by keeping close relationship with Him and letting His Spirit to guide us.
