With the amount of plants I kill this could probably become a very popular series :p
I just usually don't show them. I pick the dead bodies and throw the away. But today... ohhh.. today was like they decided to serve me "Mass dying day".
I have been watering them all a few days ago and they were fine. And today boom!
First up:
Notocactus Ottonis - DEAD!
What Happened?
I don't know. I have never seen cactus gone this dark. What's more, few days ago it was fine and I even noticed a small flower bud at the top.
I was showing it in this post. See? It was fine :)
I still have that small one and it better not die on me!
Next we have one that I really like!
Adromischus festivus - Most likely DEAD.
My little pride and joy among succulents. Luckily I accidently broke a leaf few weeks ago and I used it as a cutting. So I have a small one growing. I will also keep the trunk for a while and see if something grows from it. Maybe it's just leaves that died.
But come on...
... it was so pretty!
Third: Seedlings of my Mammillaria Glassii. Some seem to be still alive and I will repot them. But majority is like empty paper balls.
And this is how they looked before (and a little smaller):
Lastly Sulcorebutia langerii that is not completely lost. But out of a nice, big clump I have a pile of little seedlings to save. I noticed that it didnt start growing this spring like other cacti, but it still looked ok. She started even growing some flower buds, but they blasted. And then the middle and largest stem started to look funky.
When I took it out from the pot the roots were basically gone and the that big stem completely rooted. The ofshoots that were growing from it had roots and detached easily.
This one will be fine.
In multiple pots.
Last year:
As much as I really hate when that happens, I know I have backups. It sucks much more when I only have one and one day it is dead too.
Oh well...
