In this post I want to share some things I like about my garden, just some of them because I really like all my garden, like for example the following picture of a seedbed, we will also talk about them, so let's start.
Let's start talking about this mammillaria nivosa, I understand that it is a Caribbean cactus and I have not found information about its reproduction, so I don't know if it is self-fertile or I need another cactus to pollinate.
I placed it in the greenhouse, but now that it has opened its flowers, it is better to take it outside.
I have this other cactus that I don't know its name, it was given to me as a gift and it is giving a lot of flowers, so I decided to put them together to see if nature gives me a surprise.
The insects came quickly.
By the way, I am about to start a new greenhouse, same low cost but this time I will do it with wood, I haven't finished deciding the size yet but I am already working on the wood.
Although I decided to sell my succulents, there are some that I can't deny that I feel I need them, so those will stay with me.
Now the seedbeds.
Here we have Ariocarpus Retusus Las tablas, I germinated them inside my room with the artificial light I mentioned, in spite of that some of them got etiolated for some strange reason, I don't know if it's another genetics or what happened, but two of them became this long, I will have to graft them.
Ferocactus are another of my passion, I really love their spines like devil's tongue, here we have Ferocactus wislizeni.
I sowed some Myrtillocactus seeds and despite all my care I feel they are growing slower than I thought, I guess I won't always be successful, at least not as I expect.
More Ferocactus Latispinus, some will serve me as rootstock, I have two equal seedbeds.
The first Obregonia Denegrii that I sowed look great, they really liked the greenhouse and you can see it in their color and size.
I did a second sowing with seeds that I bought and also the seller gave me more than triple of what I bought, so this seedbed should be filled with seedlings, for the moment some of those that were born first have begun to develop their arms, soon they will look like miniature adults. Obregonia Denegrii as well.
There is not much to say about this seedbed, I made it with seeds given to me by Fernando, although I dare say that I can identify some of them, maybe.
This seedbed is a Coryphantha mix, I sowed over 100 seeds and divided it into two seedbeds, as you can see some of the plants in the above photo look like these, so there must be some in there.
More Astrophytum Asterias, did I mention I fell in love with them? At the moment I still don't see any interesting ones, I also have two identical seedbeds, and I'm waiting to see something unusual to start grafting, this time I didn't make micro grafts a week after they were born.
More seeds that Fernando gave me, they are of mammillaria although I don't know which one, seriously I have sown so many seeds and some names I didn't know, I will have to wait until they grow to identify them.
Take a look at the following photo! It looks beautiful, doesn't it? I don't know the name either, I think it's a rebutia but I'm not sure, I brought those seeds from Fernando's garden and I have to give him half of the plants, I think we will get about 20 each. I made a micro graft of this one on pereskiopsis, it has already grown a lot and is giving shoots, what a crazy thing, isn't it?
This is an Astrophytum Myriostigma and it is growing in a strange way, I'll see what it ends up with. It looks like it wants to give shoots too.
A little beauty.
And so goes the root graft.
This succulent was a gift, I don't know its name but it has very small flowers, and the succulent is also small.
This Asterias should start to develop flowers.
Finally my Mammillaria gracilis has given fruits, I already have two and in a few hours I will be sowing the seeds, I just need to sleep a couple of hours, I will also sow Gymnocalycium seeds of Thai origin, so hopefully the colors will be impressive, of those I will sow 100 seeds to see how it goes, that's all for today, see you soon.
