Market Friday

This is the one tag and daily challenge that I always make a point of joining, and also look through the posts of others that join the challenge and seeing markets from all around the world.

For this weeks post, I am going to share a few shots of some shops I saw one morning when I was walking back and forth over the bridge between New Bedford and Fairhaven, on an island called Popes island

Starting with this building for RA Mitchell, a big building 21,000 sq Ft selling Engines generators and pumps
I am not sure if both buildings are theirs or the first building is something else but it did not seem to have any signs on it so I am not sure

I loved the old feel of the building and the signage with their name so I had to get a shot of it

And there is a little line of shops also on the island, I guess the term is a strip mall, and this one is called the Bridge Shoppes

And don't worry I didn't just get a shot of the sign, I show the shops as well with this next shot.
Whenever I see that tower behind the shops in this shot, it brings back memories of my time in the field building, climbing and dismantling communications tower, not my favorite part of the job I will admit, but it still makes me wonder what the view must be like from the top of that tower

Now being on an island bridging New Bedford and Fairhaven both cities with plenty of docks and both commercial and private boats its not surprising there is a marine store here
