As I got back from work and then stepped back out to go to work, I realized there were some heavy gray clouds above me. It looked like some kind of alien was eyeing the land it was about to destroy. 👽
I thought it was gonna rain cats 🐈, dogs 🐕 and gorillas 🦍. But nonetheless I brought no umbrella and actually steeped out in my Nike slippers.
Rain didn’t fall at all. I kinda felt that was gonna happen subconsciously, but consciously my mind saw rain. This reminds me of life and struggles. Sometime we see these gray clouds appear in our lives and we think “this it, I can only imagine what will happen next”. The worry and the fear that clogs our minds takes us away from our greatness but not following the faith deep in our souls that let’s us know that things will work out....and they always do.
We worry and pay attention to what is seen externally, instead of tapping into the unseen powers inside of us that are connected to our creator and the entire universe.
This song by Taj Weekes and the Adowa band called Dark Clouds, while it talks about global warming and how the cycle of the earth's seasons are changing, it still reminds me that we as humans have to look within ourselves and make the changes necessary, for a better world for the generations to come and for ourselves.
Taj Weekes, the vocalists of the band is from St.Licia in the Caribbean but is well traveled. The other band members are from Trinidad, Dominican Republic and Haiti. Taj, besides being a musician is also a humanitarian.
