When entering the Reggaejahm community beyond sharing content related to Reggae and the Caribbean, there is something I want to highlight, and that is the rules it has on its cover:
I'm sure many will say: What rules are those?
But, if we stop to think Surely much of that is needed in our world right now...
It's a good time to make it tangible, but, of course, that has a meaning that is not usually fully known to everyone. Well, in view of that, I want to make in an entertaining way and bringing songs that make clear what each one of these Rules is about, a series of 3 publications in which I will explain each one, let's start with the first one:
1. One love
It is a way of saying that with love we can solve many problems, clean our minds, see with other eyes the possibility of solving our differences, it is a way of saying that regardless of our origins and characteristics (nationalities, religion, race, economic condition) we can get to have a better world.
It is not something crazy or from the other world, it is something very basic and purely human, it is not asking for more than what we are, it is a tool that is at the hand of anyone ... ONE LOVE.
There is a song immortalized by Bob Marley with this title, here I bring the video and later I will leave the lyrics of it, where the message is clear.
Lirycs
One love, one heart
Let's get together and feel all right
Hear the children crying (One love)
Hear the children crying (One heart)
Sayin', "Give thanks and praise to the Lord and I will feel all right
Sayin', "Let's get together and feel all right
Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa
Let them all pass all their dirty remarks (one love)
There is one question I'd really love to ask (one heart)
Is there a place for the hopeless sinner
Who has hurt all mankind just to save his own?
Believe me
One love, one heart
Let's get together and feel all right
As it was in the beginning (one love)
So shall it be in the end (one heart)
Alright, give thanks and praise to the Lord and I will feel all right
Let's get together and feel all right
One more thing
Let's get together to fight this Holy Armageddon (one love)
So when the Man comes there will be no, no doom (one song)
Have pity on those whose chances grow thinner
There ain't no hiding place from the Father of Creation
Sayin', one love, one heart
Let's get together and feel all right
I'm pleading to mankind (one love)
Oh, Lord (one heart) whoa
Give thanks and praise to the Lord and I will feel all right
Let's get together and feel all right
Give thanks and praise to the Lord and I will feel all right
Let's get together and feel all right
I hope the message is clear. ONE LOVE.
I'll say goodbye until the next issue.
