Hunters of Dungeon Cities can now buy land in the game and become a Baron. As soon as a hunter becomes a Baron, 4 new buildings get unlocked -
- MERCHANT STORE
- HOUSE
- MINE VEIN
- FARM
MERCHANT STORE
This building allows the Baron to list items using DCXT and HIVE directly. Currently all hunters are able to sell their items to other players using DRUBBLE. But a Baron holds the power to sell his items for any token of his choice.
- There is no listing fee in Merchant Store.
- Only Baron can list items in this Store.
- As the Store is upgraded, the market fees decreases.
- There is no expiration for the listed items of this Store.
Tax is the amount that will be deducted by the game from the transactions that happen between a Baron and a hunter.
HOUSE
This building allows the Baron to sleep and store items. Sleeping increases HP and STM recovery rate while storage lets you keep important items in a safe place away from your inventory.
The House at level 1 also comes with 2 extra rooms which can be rented out to other hunters for a fee. The Baron can choose to upgrade the house for better returns.
Tax on rent is the amount that is deducted by the game from the rent amount paid by the hunter to the Baron.
An important thing to note is that a Baron can build upto 5 independent houses and sell them individually to other hunters for HIVE or DCXT in the Merchant Shop.
MINE VEIN
This structure produces some exclusive resources like Rune of Ascension (required to upgrade a fully enhanced gear) that cannot be obtained from anywhere else in the game. A Baron can increase the output of a vein by hiring miners. For every miner hired, the production increases by 1.
Miners are none other than hunters playing the game. Hunters can choose which Baron's mine to work on by spending 20% of their max STM. In return for their labor, hunters are awarded 1 exclusive resource at the end of the day and the Baron can choose to pay the miners in DCXT.
DCXT paid to the miners is exempt from tax.
FARM
This structure also produces some exclusive resources like Magic Manure (required to upgrade a fully enhanced gear) that cannot be obtained from anywhere else in the game. Farm also produces Food that is required to restore HP and STM.
A Baron can increase the output of a Farm by hiring farmers. For every farmer hired, the production increases by 1.
Farmers, agian, are none other than hunters playing the game. Hunters can choose which Baron's Farm to work on by spending 20% of their max STM. In return for their labor, hunters are awarded 1 exclusive resource at the end of the day and the Baron can choose to pay the farmers in DCXT.
DCXT paid to the farmers is exempt from tax.
PURCHASABLE BUILDINGS
Apart from the 4 buildings mentioned above there are structures that will stay locked even for the Baron. These buildings can be unlocked by Barons by playing the game and collecting resources produced on their Land in addition to paying DRUBBLE.
Some of these buildings and their main features are listed below -
- Sanctuary - Restores HP and STM to 100%.
- Guild Hall - Allows hunters across the game to band together and go on raids.
- Smith Shop - Allows hunters to add more slots to their gears.
NOTE : These buildings are exclusive to Barons and can be individually sold.
LAND DEED
Land is not yet live but a hunter can buy a Land Deed from the DCD shop inside the game. This Land Deed can then be used to randomly claim a Land in one of the 6 cities of Dungeon Cities upon launch.
A Land costs 1000 DCD (= $1000) but 20 Lands are set aside to be sold at a discounted price in a phased manner.
A phase ends when on the end date or when the allotted Land Deed are sold out, whichever occurs first, and the next phase is started. Any unsold Land Deed from any phase will be removed from the DCD shop and will never be given at a discounted price.
NOTE : Only a handful of vacant lands are available per city. A Land Deed, when redeemed, assigns the Baron a random land in one of the 6 cities of the game.
