Since my last post about those early weeks grinding from bare hands to boss slayer, I haven't stopped playing. Dungeon Cities has that effect on you: just when you think you've hit a wall, the game opens a new path. And this time, the path led me through Brighthollow and straight into Caelum.
The Brighthollow Grind: Luck, Drubbles, and Persistence
Completing all the levels of Brighthollow was, without a doubt, my biggest achievement since I started. But let me be real with you: it wasn't easy at all.
Two things made this challenge especially tough:
Forging required serious luck. You can have all the materials in the world, but if the RNG doesn't smile at you during crafting, you're stuck. I did buy the potion to increase my luck every time but still is not an easy path.
Drubbles, Drubbles, and more Drubbles. Every forge attempt and every missing material cost Drubbles. I burned through my reserves faster than expected.
In fact, I had to go back to Durantia a couple of times just to farm more Drubbles before I could even attempt the final levels of Brighthollow. It felt a bit like stepping backwards, but sometimes you need to retreat to gather strength before the final push.
Breaking Through: Hello, Caelum!
After all that grinding, the moment I finally cleared the last level of Brighthollow and unlocked access to Caelum was incredibly satisfying. And the game welcomed me with a gift: my first Caelum chest.
Opening it gave me enough resources to finally level up to level 18. After being stuck for so long, seeing that number go up felt like a reward in itself.
What's Next: Chests, Levels, and Keys
Now that I've set foot in Caelum, my focus has shifted, but I'm juggling two parallel goals:
Farm Caelum chests to keep leveling up. Each chest brings me closer to the next level, and I'm not planning to stop at 18.
Start collecting materials to forge the keys to Druantia. I've read ahead, and I know those keys won't craft themselves. Every material counts from now on.
A Quick Tip for Fellow Players
If you're about to tackle Brighthollow: don't underestimate how many Drubbles you'll need. Farm a little extra in Durantia before you commit. And when forging, patience is key—sometimes it's better to wait and gather more materials than to rush and waste what you have.
Also, since you are making a lot of Drubble in Druantia, make sure you save money to buy the Sorcerer's set. I'd recommend to buy it before start forging the Brighthollow keys but keep in mind that you'll have to reduce your attack by removing your weapon when going back to lower cities like Brighthollow, this is to avoid the counter attack from monsters.
Also, to progress faster you can always buy the "Premium Benefits" for 2 DCD per week, which will give you a daily "Elixir of Vital flames" that recovers 100% of your STM. This helped me to increase my progress faster and also gave me more inventory space since I am now Silver VIP.
