Etimol贸gicamente, la palabra bachata, cuyo origen se presume africano, designa fiesta, jolgorio y reuni贸n animada entre amigos; en un principio, incluso en Rep煤blica Dominicana el t茅rmino bachata se utiliz贸 para referirse a festividades o reuniones populares de car谩cter abierto y bullicioso.
Etymologically, the word bachata, whose origin is presumed to be African, designates party, revelry and lively meeting among friends; at first, even in the Dominican Republic the term bachata was used to refer to festivities or popular gatherings of an open and bustling nature.
