Hello Hiveans! I guess that many of you have heard of claustrophobia (fear of confined spaces) and social phobia (fear and anxiety in social situations) but what about abibliophobia ?

If we do a little research on the web we can find the following explanation :
Abibliophobia : n. (humorous) : The intense, haunting fear of running out of books to read.
This word has derivational relatives: those suffering from abibliophobia are abibliophobes who are abibliophobic and behave abibliophobically (the adverb).
So as yo can see "Abibliophobia" is considered as a made-up phobia. It seems somehow ironic that a word invented to impress a love of reading should be coined on the Internet.

āMy abibliophobia is never improved, no matter how many unread books I have on the shelf.ā
However, this phobia suits me so well that I believe it is genuine. And that would explain my compulsion to buy books even when I already have several here.
