Hello everyone and welcome to my contest! I decided to try something a little different this time and want to introduce a battle contest!
The idea is that I'd like to highlight a battle or two featuring some strange, exciting, or
FRUSTRATING battles for your viewing pleasure!
The inspiration behind this post was actually from one of my wife's battles () who's battle will be shown as today's featured battle (no spoilers!).
How This Will Work
This community is great and very welcoming to newcomers. If you browse PeakD, you'll see just how much user generated content there is which ranges from basic how to play guides, to more advanced strategies from the top leaderboard players, to investment advice!
To do my part in giving back, I'm starting a giveaway!
The rules are simple:
- Comment below with an interesting, strange, or hilarious battle (don't forget to include your in-game name)
- Provide a short comment on what makes your battle unique or special
- Upvote this post
- Entries must be entered before the post pays out (7 days from when I post).
- You may submit up to 3 entries but you can only win once.
That's it!
If I select your battle to be featured on my next post, I'll send you a prize!
Prizes for the Week
For this week, I'll be sending the winner of the Featured Battle an Epic Uraeus and two runner-ups a Venari Wavesmith and a Venari Bonesmith!

Featured Battle: Uriel the Undying?
At first glance, this has got to be a landslide victory for Tarsa.. right?
Uriel is all alone and doesn't even have Heal. He's got 3 angry Melee monsters out to get him while getting nerfed left and right.
Let's review Uriel's Nerfs:
- Damage output cut in half by the Halfling Alchemist's Halving ability
- Damage output AGAIN cut in half by the Chain Golem's Shield ability
- Slowed down by the Creeping Ooze
So how does he even survive???
Part One : GG EZ! He already died once, Resurrect only prolongs the inevitable.. Right?
If you watch closely, you'll notice that the Halfling Alchemist misses the first Halving shot whicch allows Uriel to throw out a huge 5 damage hit on the Chain Golem, completely taking out it's armor. Without that key miss, Uriel would've needed 4 additional rounds to take out JUST the Chain Golem.
Part Two : Pain..
Uriel is revived and shows some serious tenacity. This battle is INCREDIBLE for the Chanseus player and downright RAGE inducing if you're the Tarsa player.
It's one of those battles that you immediately "Skip to Results" and have to double-take because you can't believe what happened (from both sides!).
Once Uriel took out the Creeping Ooze, the Halfling Alchemist was useless and the Serpentine Spy just couldn't do anything about Chanseus's Armor Repair ability.
Let's analyze this:
| Monster | Hits | Misses | Expected Miss % | Actual Miss % |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Chain Golem | 8 hits | 2 misses | 25% | 20% |
| Halfling Alchemist | 4 hits | 7 misses | 35% | 63% |
| Serpentine Spy | 12 hits | 6 misses | 25% | 33% |
Despite being severely out gunned, Uriel's Flying ability helped him evade a bunch, 15 times to be exact! Flying adds a 25% chance of evading an attack and Pepperharrow definitely got her money's worth.
The Chain Golem and the Serpentine Spy were fairly close to the expected miss % but the Halfling Alchemist DEFINITELY underperformed and cost the Tarsa team the battle. Over a large enough sample size, Uriel wouldn't survive 9 times out of 10.
However, it is interesting that a few poorly timed misses could potentially end up in a win for Uriel anyways. With repair and the attackers alternating hits, you end up with a perfect disaster.
Congrats to Pepperharrow!
Bonus Battle : Everyday I'm Tramplin'
Who doesn't love a good trample? (Yes, I am shamelessly plugging one of my own battles).
If you haven't had the pleasure of seeing an Enraged Diemonshark, then you're in for a treat! Don't blink or you'll miss it!
The only thing that would've been better was a first round flawless trample victor.
Hint hint.. if you have one, leave it in a comment below and you just might win!
However, we got the next best thing. Everything lined up perfectly for this 2nd round rout. All of my monsters had a hand in bringing Grum's armor down enough to get that sweet kill to set things off. Earthquake was also a factor since it brought down the enemy armor and some health that allowed this to happen.
Thanks for Stopping By
