Welcome to my Starbits Every Night, a routine post I make on a night time when I play Rising Star Game. I just finished my social experience by overhauling my Giveaway several time in the last several days.
Although I have asked people why should I keep my giveaways, many of you gave a good replies. Here what I have set in my mind why I will keep doing it:
- It's FUN. There are people, including like me, who like Giveaway or just say that we like freebies. It's sad if Giveaway has to be stopped just because some big fishes hate them, that's far from fair.
- Getting Giveaway back to the track. It's hard to benchmark how good is a Giveaway anyway, everyone have their own indicator or key points.
And here are some points I have learnt and I have decided in the last several days.
- People hate open questions. My participants dropped alot when I gave then open question as Giveaway requirement. I will try to not giving any open question unless there is special condition.
- Prize does matter, I feel bad if I give super shitty rewards over difficult question. I think 5.000 starbits should be the least a participant should get, I do not know what people can do with 1.000, 2.000, or 3.000 starbits anyway.
- Giveaway should be freebies, so everyone deserves to win. I am against idea of downvoting "count me in" zombies, I have eliminated or erase rewards for people who just answered count me in but I feel it's a bit wrong. Therefore I will only deduct some prize from "count me in" zombies, not eliminating all.
- Most participants are assholes 😂, they copied other participant's answer without giving credits (upvote) from the person they copied the answer.
ok thats for now, I want to share opinion not to confidate. Anyway I always open to any suggestion and feedback so please leave them on comments section below if you have a good one.
MUSIC OF THE DAY
Ode To My Family is The Cranberries song from their second album which released in 1994. It's bit swallowed by the success of ZOMBIE, which is the first song in that album. This beautiful song tells a story of family emotion connection, it feels like longing for belonging.
Dolores O'Riordan as the writer of the song said that its about her yearning for her simple life as a child after having achieved success (wikipedia). However there is a another version (songfacts) which said that the song about the choice O'Riordan decision to to become a rock star and the conflicts and misunderstanding she had with her parents and their Irish family tradition.

It’s about childhood, family and how important they are. It will appeal probably to people who have left home and realized that the teen-age life is gone and you can never get it back. Suddenly you appreciate everything your parents did for you, even though at the time, when you were a teen-ager, you just couldn’t stand them. Then you’re older and you realize how cool your parents were and how nice your childhood was.
PACKS OPENING
Everyday I encourage people to buy pack... yes buy packs and open them. The common question is which one is better, buying packs or buying cards directly from other players? Personally I prefer buying cards directly over buying packs. because it gives more precision on stats building. This leaves zero waste,for example sometime we get good cards from packs but we do not need those.
However recently I have decided I will keep buying packs and share my daily opening in this post because I believe buying packs give more benefit to the community.
- First it is somekind of starbits burning which hopefully might help starbits price to be more stable.
- Second with many new cards circulated, hopefully the card price will get stable too and this will help smaller players to grow.
