I've been playing a relatively new game on Hive called Neon Strike. It's being made by @midnight-studio, and now that I am searching through their posts, I see the game is nearing a year old.
Ooo, and I am seeing some posts about the game lore that I have not seen yet so I'll have to get into that after I finish this post.

I've picked up a couple other cards but I've been playing this one for about 2 months now and I've managed to level it up to level 4.
I'm not going to get into the mechanics too much, as I have a limited understanding of some aspects of the game.
It's basically a click to earn game where you can play up to three cards at one time. Playing a card consists of starting a mission. You can start a new mission every 8 hours.
There are currently 11 missions but you have to play them in order and your card needs to level up to play higher missions. In other words, a level 1 card can play mission 1, a level 2 card can play mission 2 (and I think it can still play mission 1, but I have not tried that), and so on.
Each mission you play garners rewards in the form of the in-game token, called NEON
You also gain XP and other materials such as gold, emeralds, diamonds, and so on...
XP is important as this is how you level up your card. To increase +1 level you need: 500xp + (level * 50). So to level up from level 3 to level 4 you would need; 500xp + (4*50), or 700xp.
Also, you can see in the above info that damage is incurred when you play a mission. You card receives 25% damage each mission and needs to be repaired at 100% damage. You will not be allowed to start a new mission until you repair a 100% damaged card.
You use NEON tokens to repair a card and cost for repairing is the card's total power x2. So in the case of my Ghost card above, with a power rating of 21, repairing will cost 42 NEON.
There are five rarities of cards; Common, Rare, Epic, Legendary, and Omega.
You can get started playing for just 5 HBD (~24 HVIE) right now! This will buy you "starter mini" pack, which has one common rarity card.
There are other card packs available at higher prices, but these also have the chance at a higher rarity card, like this legendary I pulled about a month ago.
Also, you can combine cards (called fusion in-game) to increase their rarity. I have not yet done this but am saving my NEON rewards from playing to buy a couple more cards specifically for fusing :D

From there you can look around, buy a card (called "boxes" in the shop), and play!
