BRIEFLY FROM THE HISTORY OF THAILAND (THIS WAS THE COUNTRY OF SIAM)

Briefly, and very briefly for review and understanding. The history of Thailand (Siam) has more than one millennium. It seems to me that the whole country was in antiquity - it's a continuous jungle. During excursions into the interior of the country, we saw it ourselves - only ten kilometers away and you are already in impenetrable forests and thickets, where there are no roads! But Thailand's history is much shorter than that of countries like China, Cambodia or Vietnam. The country's starting point begins, as is commonly believed, with the ancient name Lanna. Is it strange? But the country gained independence and statehood already in 1238. Can you imagine? This is necessary! And so we, as tourists and vagabonds, also set foot on this land to admire the exotic beauties, learn the culture of this country, see the architecture of ancient temples. This, of course, is good and wonderful, but for me Italy is a country where I rest much better with all my soul! Who does not believe, perhaps, compare all this, having gone first to Thailand, and then to Italy. Then anyone will understand where is better. And better, of course, in the Eternal City!

Do you want to see something exotic? Go to Thailand, there is a lot of exoticism, it is at every step. It is there that anyone will touch the thousand-year-old traditions, see Buddhist temples, visit the royal palaces. In addition to Bangkok, this is the capital of the country, I was also at the Pattaya resort. Anywhere you can see contrasts - from fashionable skyscrapers to reed huts, and near the city. For tourists, Thailand will always be interesting because it is a completely different world, a different culture and a different basis of life. In short, this is the very exotic that is located beyond the distant seas and high mountains. But you must visit this country.

I liked everything very much, although there are crowds of tourists from many countries from all over the world, or rather, hundreds, and maybe thousands. For an educational tour - such a trip is very interesting for any of us. Everything dramatically differs from our standards, starting, naturally, from culture and the spiritual world to cuisine and the people themselves. They are very hospitable people, they are always smiling, I haven’t seen someone quarreling anywhere! Distinctive features of Thailand are something we are not used to at all. Compared to our prices, everything is pretty cheap, but that was at the time. We were, so to speak, in the first wave of tourists from Russia. Now everything is different there. And the prices have somewhat "leveled off" for the tourist, and the service staff has become different - rude and thievish. Although I don't know myself, I was told so not so long ago. Everything was interesting and good with us, but for the second time I don't really want to go there. You can go to Italy endlessly, where the edge of art and beauty exceeds the exotic - and it is! But this is my personal opinion, looking at travel that way.

And what else can you add about our vacation? Briefly about the country itself. You have to understand that Thailand is not just an exotic, it is a state in Southeast Asia, the center of the "golden triangle", because there are more than enough dangers there. But for tourists, the authorities are trying to do the maximum of services, providing many luxury hotels, gorgeous beaches, a lot of entertainment from excursions to luxurious palaces and temples. Here we are confronted with ultra-modern megacities like Bangkok, wealth and poverty where there are no tourist routes. Also, in the country and cities, everything is set for trade, so that a tourist from any country in the world leaves "empty" to his wallet. Therefore, prices, literally for everything, are quite low, from goods to services.

The resort town of Pattaya is located on the Gulf of Thailand, where the sea or ocean is so warm that you don't want to get out of the water at all! Once it was a run-down fishing village, but now it is a real Babylon. You can meet everyone here - from the Germans and the British to the Russians and the Americans. Especially the peasants are interested here, and why? Because this is a sex service center. But besides prostitution in this city of sin, there is, of course, a lot of interesting things, in general - from shopping centers, bars and restaurants to various clubs, art salons and workshops. Everything works without breaks and days off. It is home to several beautiful golf courses, a highly publicized crocodile farm, and an elephant show village. Everything is good and beautiful in Thailand, but I still love Italy more! Florence alone or Rome worth
