Family Buttcoins went to a truly epic spot recently.
Three blue holes situated next to the equally epic Laguna Brava. This place is way off the beaten path here in Guatemala.
A 4 wheel drive vehicle is recomended to enter.
Though if you you are a seasoned traveler, it is possible to arrive via public transport.
Laguna Brava is on the other side of the Sierra de Los Cuchumantanes. The highest non-volcanic mountain range in Central America.
You must arrive via a dust and jungle scuffled region called Aguacate.
Family Buttcoins cabin camped at the shores of Laguna Brava for 5 days.
You can join us as we get rowed for a kilometer and a half across the Laguna Brava to reach the 3 Cenotes Ownajab.
Blue hole gems jumping out of the tropical green jungle. And of course the P- man my son, was also jumping of cliffs into the deep clear water!
We had wanted to rent a boat and row ourselves, but there are strict rules at Laguna Brava, all in the name of preservation of the natural pristine habitat. There are no motors permitted on this lake. Only row boats. No floaty tubes, rafts, or private kayaks. Only sanctioned rowers in sanction boats.
An hour into the trip i was actually happy to not be rowing if im honest.
Everything in this video was filmed with the 360% gopro max i edited using Quik and Lumafusion
the music is by a dear friend called Joe LaFave, the song is called Next World
