We always remember our firsts. As for me, my first ever plane ride was last January to visit Coron, Palawan and that was such a memorable moment.
A year ago, when all is well and traveling is such a hype, we packed our bags and went to Clark Airport. I was with my boyfriend and his sister. I was soooo excited and at the same time, scared. It was all our first time to ride a plane and a small one for that matter.
That day was quite windy - we experienced a number of turbulences. I was holding JC's hand as if that will keep me safe. Fortunately, we landed safely to the humble airport in Coron.
Arrival & Budget
We were greeted by the kind van driver who would drop us to a super cheap room which we found on the Internet. If I remember correctly, we paid Php 200 / person for the ride and that's a steal since the fare ranges from PhP 300 - 350. Also, for the room rate, we paid PhP 500 / person for 3 nights. It's cheap because it's small and the ambience is so-so. I remember getting scared while crossing the makeshift wood bridge to the main road. Anyway, I should not be complaining because you can't find a room for 500 pesos that easily.
We only spent Php 9,000 - Php 10, 000 each including airfare! With that, aside from the tours, we even ate at grill restaurants, went to a henna artist, and stayed at a jazz bar!!! That's for 4 days & 3 nights.
Itinerary
The roundtrip ticket I booked for us is PhP 3,000 per person. The estimated expenses I planned is a little more than PhP 5,000. This is not far from what we actually spent (approx. Php 10,000)
Lunch during the tours are included in the fee. If you love tropical food, they cook and serve delicious seafood meals!
Also, one time, after our island tour, we went to the hot spring. There are many people but submerging your body in the warm or should I say hot water in the spring was so worth it!
We're not good swimmers (especially me!) but here's JC's photo trying to look for colorful fish and corals!
