Ozerny is a settlement in the Vozhegodsky district of the Vologda Region, which was founded in 1946 from barracks brought from other surrounding villages that stood on the shores of different lakes. Although there is not a single lake in Ozerny itself.
Once there was extensive logging here and many villages were formed.
But then they decided to assemble all the villages into one big one, and so it turned out to be the Ozerny (Laky) one.
There is not much population here: just over two hundred people.
But life is still quite active.
From the district center – the village of Vozhega, Ozerny is 70 km away.
To get here, you need a car with a strong suspension and it is desirable to stock up on strong nerves.
Your average speed will be 20 km/h.
There is a medical center in Ozerny.
Shops are open.
There is a post office.
And the House of culture, which is the center of attraction of the whole neighborhood, has been renovated.
Many residents have lived here all their lives and are not going to leave their native lands.
But nevertheless, there are almost no young people here.
And the population is clearly not getting any bigger.
In general, as I expected, the atmosphere here is depressing, especially in the place of the former sawmill.
But there are beautiful places.
The road to beauty leads through depression.
And all the charm is on the river Yemba.
Now the water level has risen due to autumn rains.
In general, I liked it here in my own way, but I always wanted to leave here as soon as possible.
But I didn't want to go at the same time...as you imagine what awaits in the next 70 km, it already gets bad.
The journey is not over...
