VENEZUELA: Viajando como mochilera a Tuja, Edo. Aragua|| VENEZUELA: backpacking to Tuja, Edo. Aragua

Hola todos mis queridos lectores y seres de luz. Hoy les compartiré mi experiencia viajando como mochilera a las hermosas playas de Choroní en Venezuela, específicamente al pueblo de Tuja junto con el grupo de Mochileros Venezuela, quienes se convirtieron en más que mis amigos, mi familia.

Hello all my dear readers and beings of light. Today I will share my experience traveling as a backpacker to the beautiful beaches of Choroní in Venezuela, specifically to the town of Tuja along with the group of Venezuela Backpackers, who became more than my friends, my family.

Pues bien, nuestra fantástica travesía inició muy temprano, de hecho para la mayoría la travesía inicia el día anterior armando nuestras mochilas. Para mí así lo fue, y como en toda travesía me costó dormir un poco la noche anterior por la emoción del viaje jajaj.

Well, our fantastic journey started very early, in fact, for most of us, the journey started the day before, assembling our backpacks. For me it was like that, and as in any trip I had a hard time getting a little sleep the night before because of the excitement of the trip hahaha.

Al siguiente día nos encontramos como buenos citadinos en la estación de metro cercana en donde tomaríamos el bus que nos llevaría a la Colonia Tovar, lugar en el cual iniciaría nuestro recorrido por la montaña.

The next day we met like good city dwellers at the nearby metro station where we would take the bus that would take us to Colonia Tovar, where we would begin our tour of the mountain.

Una vez que estuvimos en el bus nos dispusimos a relajarnos por un rato pues nos esperaba una larga caminata a través de las montañas por un día y medio, alrededor de 45-50km es lo que se debe recorrer en total para llegar a dicho paraíso.

Once we were on the bus, we got ready to relax for a while as a long walk through the mountains awaited us for a day and a half, about 45-50km is what we must travel in total to reach this paradise.

Y así iniciamos nuestro recorrido visualizando los hermosos árboles y montañas, un dato sobre esta travesía es que está llena no sólo de cascadas hermosas en las que te puedes dar un chapuzón y quitarte el calor porque sus aguas son bastante frías. También este recorrido se caracteriza por la abundancia de árboles frutales, así que en todo el camino estuvimos tomando naranjas, aguacates e incluso plátanos para comer durante el camino y al llegar a nuestro destino.

And so we start our tour visualizing the beautiful trees and mountains, a fact about this journey is that it is full not only of beautiful waterfalls in which you can take a dip and take off the heat because its waters are quite cold. This route is also characterized by the abundance of fruit trees, so all the way we were taking oranges, avocados and even bananas to eat on the way and when we reached our destination.

Esta es una de las fabulosas cascadas que te puedes conseguir en el camino, llamada cascada triple, su agua es realmente fría, por eso nuestras caras jajaj, pero el baño vale la pena para renovarte de mucha energía y continuar la caminata. Aún nos esperaba mucho por recorrer.

This is one of the fabulous waterfalls that you can get on the way, called a triple waterfall, its water is really cold, that's why our faces hahaha, but the bath is worth it to renew yourself with a lot of energy and continue the walk. We still had a long way to go.

Algo que no podría olvidar contarles y típico de todo mochilero, es que al inicio de nuestro recorrido logramos que nos diesen dos abentones o colas como le decimos en Venezuela, lo cual nos ayudó mucho a recortar camino porque esa primera noche dormiríamos en casa de un poblador que nos daría alojo en el patio de su casa, así que al recortar camino conseguimos llegar esa noche mucho más temprano a su casa y descansar en nuestras carpas para continuar nuestra caminata al día siguiente.

Something that I could not forget to tell you and typical of every backpacker, is that at the beginning of our journey we managed to get two abentons or tails as we say in Venezuela, which helped us a lot to cut back because that first night we would sleep at the house of a A villager who would give us accommodation in the backyard of his house, so by cutting the path we managed to arrive at his house much earlier that night and rest in our tents to continue our walk the next day.

Esta soy yo, sorprendida de todo lo que había caminado en dos días, pero orgullosa de mi misma por todo lo conseguido. Estuve posando para un amigo quien quería tomarme fotos mientras esperábamos al grupo que se quedaba atrás.

This is me, surprised by everything I had walked in two days, but proud of myself for everything I have achieved. I was posing for a friend who wanted to take pictures of me while we waited for the group that was left behind.

En total éramos alrededor de unas 20 personas, entre ellas la mamá de una buena amiga con quien yo compartí mi pequeño hogar llamado carpa y pues debo decir que ella también estuvo fabulosa para ser su primera caminata. Realizó el recorrido de forma excelente y nos apoyó en todo momento.

In total we were about 20 people, among them the mother of a good friend with whom I shared my little home called a tent and well I must say that she was also fabulous to be her first walk. He did the tour in an excellent way and supported us at all times.

¡Finalmente, llegamos a Tuja! En donde fuimos recibidos por un paisaje y sol relucientes así que no pudimos esperar para subir al mirador y tomarnos fotos en donde se pudiese visualizar la inmensidad del mar y su profundo tono azul que se confundía con el azul del cielo. Díganme si no es fabulosa esta vista. Valió cada segundo la pena.

Finally, we come to Tuja! Where we were greeted by a shimmering landscape and sun so we couldn't wait to go up to the viewpoint and take photos where we could visualize the immensity of the sea and its deep blue tone that was confused with the blue of the sky. Tell me if this view is not fabulous. It was worth every second.

Disfrutamos durante todo el día de la playa, nos bañamos, conversamos con algunas personas del pueblo y por supuesto comimos pescado frito y tostón, junto con los deliciosos aguacates que pudimos recolectar en nuestro recorrido. También nos tomamos muchas fotos, conversamos y comentamos acerca de la caminata en donde yo me caí más de una vez pero disfruté cada instante.

We enjoyed the beach all day, we bathed, we talked with some people from the town and of course we ate fried fish and plantain, along with the delicious avocados that we were able to collect on our tour. We also took many photos, we talked and commented about the walk where I fell more than once but I enjoyed every moment.

Nos tomamos fotos todos juntos, nos reímos y disfrutamos la estadía en Tuja y cuando llegó el día de nuestro regreso la verdad no queríamos volver porque allí la pasamos realmente bien. Las olas del mar por la noche, el olor a la arena, la playa, la intensidad del sol, todo fue perfecto. Pero, debíamos volver…

We all took photos together, we laughed and enjoyed the stay in Tuja and when the day of our return arrived we really did not want to return because we had a really good time there. The waves of the sea at night, the smell of sand, the beach, the intensity of the sun, everything was perfect. But, we had to go back ...

El regreso de Tuja debe realizarse o por la misma montaña como llegamos o por lancha, desde luego nosotros lo realizamos en lancha, la cual nos dejó en Choroní. Tuja, pertenece a esta parroquia la cual se encuentra en el Estado Aragua de Venezuela, en la misma también puedes encontrar playas y básicamente es a donde llegas si realizas el viaje en bus. Posteriormente, para aquellos que deseen visitar Tuja o algunos de los pueblos pertenecientes a Choroní y no viajen por la montaña como lo hicimos nosotros, deben tomar una lancha desde Choroní que los llevará a su destino.

The return from Tuja must be done either by the same mountain as we arrived or by boat, of course we did it by boat, which left us in Choroní. Tuja, belongs to this parish which is located in the Aragua State of Venezuela, in it you can also find beaches and basically it is where you arrive if you make the trip by bus. Later, for those who wish to visit Tuja or some of the towns belonging to Choroní and do not travel through the mountains as we did, they must take a boat from Choroní that will take them to their destination.

En nuestro regreso en lancha nos dividimos en dos grupos ya que todos no podíamos ir en una sola, la verdad a mí siempre me ha dado un poco de temor montar en lanchapero les digo un secreto: Nadie tiene porqué enterarse jajaj.

On our return by boat we divided into two groups since we could not all go in one group, the truth has always given me a bit of fear to ride a boat but I tell you a secret: No one has to find out hahaha.

Así que con la misma valentía que realicé mi recorrido me monté en ella y me dispuse a disfrutar del paisaje durante los minutos que estuviésemos en el mar, así que comenzamos a tomarnos fotos y a reír mucho y este fue el resultado.

So with the same courage that I did my tour, I got on it and got ready to enjoy the scenery during the minutes we were at sea, so we started taking pictures and laughing a lot and this was the result.

Cuando llegamos a Choroní aún teníamos muchas energías y nos dispusimos a subir el mirador ara mirar la playa y quemarnos más con el sol porque aún no era suficiente para nosotros. Pero, nunca es suficiente cuando se viaja de mochilero.

When we got to Choroní we still had a lot of energy and we got ready to go up to the viewpoint to look at the beach and burn more with the sun because it was not enough for us yet. But, it is never enough when you are backpacking.

Luego de tomarnos fotos en el mirador paseamos por el pueblo de Choroní, disfrutamos de las casas, tomamos unas ricas y frías cervezas y por supuesto nos comimos unas buenas empanadas para continuar nuestra caminata hacia la terminal de buses que nos llevarían de regreso a la ciudad.

After taking photos at the viewpoint, we walked through the town of Choroní, we enjoyed the houses, we had some delicious and cold beers and of course we ate some good empanadas to continue our walk to the bus terminal that would take us back to the city ...

Este graffitti se encuentra en la terminal de buses, frente a ella también hay un río en el cual puedes aprovechar para darte un pequeño baño si hace mucho calor y así de hecho, fue como hicimos nosotros.

This graffiti is located in the bus terminal, in front of it there is also a river in which you can take the opportunity to take a little bath if it is very hot and in fact, it was as we did.

Y aquí yacemos nosotros, cansados y con calor, esperando el bus que nos llevaría de regreso y sin ganas de volver.

And here we lied, tired and hot, waiting for the bus that would take us back and not wanting to go back

Así que ya sabes si eres venezolano o de otro país y piensas viajar como mochilero te invito a animarte y ya sabes que en Venezuela tienes muchas opciones y lugares fantásticos por visitar.

So now you know if you are Venezuelan or from another country and you plan to travel as a backpacker, I invite you to cheer up and you already know that in Venezuela you have many options and fantastic places to visit.
