If you have never been to Phu Quoc, then you have no idea what you're missing... Though I was told that someone on Steemit had been there and posted really nasty recommendations of this island. I will tell you that he/she is so WRONG !!
I've been to Phu Quoc several times in the last couple of years and each time, it's always been so overwhelming and memorable. Phu Quoc is locate down south of Vietnam and there is only two ways of getting into this island; by air or by sea.
Where I am standing here is actually part of the Vinpearl Phu Quoc, the largest resort conglomerate in the entire Vietnam, if I may say so. They have got a water park, a safari park and a huge amusement park as well. Not to mention, a 18 hole golf course within the same compound. I had the privilege to go up to the roof top of one of their hotel block and catch this view.
Just look at this view taken from the opposite side of the hotel block. You would trust me to know that this is a true holiday destination, fitted for all walks of life. It's nice to know that they have everything for anyone who comes here. I'll be utterly surprised if anyone leaves here unhappy.
Even the lobby is huge with triple column ceiling which gives it a grand welcoming to any guests. When we arrived, we were greeted with cold hand towels and iced lemon grass tea. Just the perfect welcoming since it was really hot and humid outdoors.
This is the welcome counter displayed next to reception; accessible to all guests 24/7. Unlimited bottles of still water, candies for the kids, whole fresh apples and freshly squeezed fruit juice, all this for stay-in guests at this resort.
Isn't this a dream holiday that you're hoping for?
So, don't listen to anyone who tells you that Phu Quoc isn't the place to visit because their just probably trying to keep you away from it. Ask the Vietnamese, Korean, Japanese & Russian... they all love Phu Quoc !
