Hace algunos días viví una fantástica aventura a bordo de unas motocicletas junto con mis amigos y hoy quiero contarles la experiencia completa.
A few days ago I lived a fantastic adventure aboard some motorcycles with my friends and today I want to tell you the whole experience.
Ese día en concreto no teníamos pensado hacer lo que hicimos, era un día normal de descanso para todos por lo que nos reunimos a charlar y compartir un rato; uno de nuestros amigos juega futbol como aficionado en una de esas “caimaneras” populares en Venezuela y ese día tenía un juego al que nos invitó, fuimos al juego y disfrutamos verlo desde la sombra de un árbol.
That particular day we didn't plan to do what we did, it was a normal day of rest for everyone so we got together to chat and share a while; one of our friends plays soccer as an amateur in one of those "caimaneras" popular in Venezuela and that day he had a game to which he invited us, we went to the game and enjoyed watching it from the shade of a tree.
El juego terminó y seguimos en el lugar por otro rato más ya que estaba lleno de una energía increíble, todos hablaban y reían, todos la estábamos pasando bien. Luego de eso las demás personas empezaron a irse por lo que nos preguntamos ¿Y ahora qué? No queríamos irnos a nuestras casas pues al día aun le quedaban muchas horas entonces decidimos ir a dar unas vueltas en las motos.
The game ended and we stayed in the place for a while longer as it was full of incredible energy, everyone was talking and laughing, we were all having a good time. After that the other people started to leave so we asked ourselves what now? We didn't want to go home because the day still had many hours left so we decided to go for a ride on the motorcycles.
Fuimos a cambiarnos y a buscar las motos para salir a dar vueltas por la ciudad que estaba despejada por ser día de descanso, al salir no planeamos bien a donde iríamos solo dejamos que el camino y las motos nos llevasen; ya teníamos buen rato dando vueltas cuando a uno de nosotros se nos ocurrió ir hacia la zona de las carreteras rurales que llevan a los pueblos y caseríos que están aledaños a nuestra ciudad, una idea que nos pareció genial a todos porque así podríamos disfrutar de los paisajes de la zona.
We went to change and to look for the motorcycles to go for a ride around the city that was clear because it was a day of rest, when we left we did not plan well where we would go we just let the road and the motorcycles take us; we had a good time going around when one of us thought of going to the area of the rural roads that lead to the villages and hamlets that are adjacent to our city, an idea that seemed great to all of us because we could enjoy the scenery of the area.
Emprendimos el camino y fuimos hacia el lugar, ya cuando empezamos a adentrarnos por esa zona el aire cambio repentinamente volviéndose más frio y fresco del que encontramos en la ciudad, la vista se despejó dejando ver solo en el horizonte las montañas que rodean nuestro enclave, las sabanas y estepas donde pastorea el ganado de la zona y donde los agricultores del lugar siembran sus rubros, la vista era inigualable, tanto que deleitaba a la vista y junto con la sensación del aire en la cara y los olores de la zona los sentidos enteros se deleitaban.
We started our way and went to the place, and when we started to go into that area the air suddenly changed becoming colder and cooler than we found in the city, the view cleared leaving only the mountains that surround our enclave on the horizon, the savannahs and steppes where the local cattle graze and where the local farmers grow their crops, the view was unmatched, so much so that it delighted the eye and together with the feeling of the air on the face and the smells of the area the entire senses were delighted.
Si a eso le sumamos nuestras bromas y las ganas de pasarla bien el resultado fue una tarde maravillosa… Seguimos recorriendo aquellos lugares hasta adentrarnos a unos 30 km de distancia de la ciudad, cada vez lo que veíamos era más y más hermoso, y fue lógico preguntarnos ¿Cómo es que no hacemos de esto un habito?, ¿Cómo es que teniendo estos paisajes tan cerca nos cohibimos de darnos una escapada como esta?
If we add to that our jokes and the desire to have a good time the result was a wonderful afternoon... We continued touring those places until we got about 30 km away from the city, each time what we saw was more and more beautiful, and it was logical to ask ourselves how is it that we do not make this a habit, how is it that having these landscapes so close we are inhibited to give us a getaway like this?
La verdad es que a veces vivimos tan enfrascados en nuestra rutina diaria que olvidamos observar a nuestro alrededor, eso que nos rodea y donde muchas veces encontramos las respuestas a nuestras cuestiones, y aun cuando no hay respuestas la paz y la tranquilidad que transmiten lugares como estos apaciguará cualquier alma intranquila.
The truth is that sometimes we live so engrossed in our daily routine that we forget to look around us, that which surrounds us and where we often find the answers to our questions, and even when there are no answers, the peace and tranquility that places like these transmit will appease any restless soul.
Cuando ya empezaba a caer la noche decidimos dar la vuelta para volver aun con el sol radiante y evitar que nos “cogiera la noche en el camino” pues la iluminación de las rutas era nula e inexistente; así fue como regresamos en medio de la calma que inunda las tardes como preludio de la noche, una calma que se vio interrumpida por el bullicio monótono de la ciudad, nuestra ciudad.
When night began to fall we decided to turn around to return even with the sun shining and avoid being "caught by the night on the way" because the lighting of the roads was null and nonexistent; so it was as we returned in the midst of the calm that floods the evenings as a prelude to the night, a calm that was interrupted by the monotonous bustle of the city, our city.
