My 1991 Contiki bus tour took us to a few different places in Austria. I struggled to remember lots of it until I tried getting the photos into some sort of order, I had to google a few photos to find a names of places and match to my photos. It was fun putting it all together. Austria has a lot more history than I knew about. I should have taken more notice of what the tour manager was telling us. It was not until we watched a show on Netflix's late last year called "The Empress" that a lot of the history started to fall into place for me. I had no idea that the Austro-Hungarian Empire was so big at one time. It makes me wonder that might happen to the likes of Russia, China and American in the future, even out here in Australia, which often gets confused with Austria by the means of spelling only, we get talk of Western Australia and far north Queensland wanted to break away and become their own sovereign State. I suppose just like the rest of history it is all about the control of recourses.
