So we had done our second International parkrun in two weeks as well as visiting family mid week in third different country on our 2023 South east Asia Loop Holiday. There was not much time to rest on our tight schedule. Our accommodation was a thirty minute car trip out of town so we organised a grab taxi ride on our only really spare day. Unfortunately it was also one of Malaysia's main public holidays. probably not the best day to do some tourist sight seeing but it was still worth while and very interesting very to get around with large crowds.
As soon as we mentioned KLCC and Petronas the grab driver knew exactly where to go unlike our previous grab ride to Putrajaya parkrun. It was so well set up and the taxi was able to drop us right at the front door, metres away from all the public holiday action.
KLCC stands for Kuala Lumpur City Centre a massive deployment area built by the Petronas Towers Company so it not only includes the massive twin towers but a top end 6 level shopping centre and a 50 acres public park and water fountains.

Our first stop was the Suria KLCC shopping mall as very was very hot and humid outside and we needed some food and to cool down. The Deepavali decorations were everywhere.

We took somebody photo for them as we walk by and they insisted on taking ours.

Just so colourful.

After some food in the air conditioning it was time for a bit of a walk around and some exploring.

That is the shopping centre below the interlinked twin 88 storey Petronas Towers which used to be the tallest in the world, now its just the tallest twin towers.

It was good to see some trees and greenery with so much concrete around.

Even though it was busy it was still relaxing to walk around the park

There was a nice water fountain show which is supposed to be even better at night.

Wow that whale I think I want one for my back yard pool.

It was near impossible to get any photos with out other people all trying to do the same thing.

My strava and GPS watch had trouble locating amongst all the tall building and structures but it gave a bit of an over view.

Bye for now from the amazing twins.
