I recon this Kangaroo would stand up pretty tall if it wanted too, just look how big its arms are compared to the smaller one and how hunched over it is. They recon Kangaroos can get as tall as a humans and I believe them as I remember running down a back street at Coolum Beach, on the Sunshine Coast in the olden days. When one just hopped out the bush, we both got a bit of a scare but he or she easy just matched my pace on the other side of the road and was even taller than me at the full height of its jump.
Point Lookout on North Stradbroke Island is a great spot to get up close to some Kangaroos who just seem to lazy around many of the grassed area on the headland.

These sculpture's seem to remind me of Koalas, I have seem Koalas over here before but not on this trip.

Fabulous Frenchman beach, a bit of a hike down and back up but worth the effort. The beach is named after 4 Frenchman who sailed from the south pacific and landed here and then settled on the island in the late 1800s

North Gorge

We were on this trip showing a relative around who was staying with us last month. Luckily for us all even though the weather was not the best, it was whale migration season. I knew point lookout was a good viewing spot but I never knew so many pass up the coast line and how playful they are. It was hard to get good photos as they disappear under water then pop up in a different spot minutes later.
