Way back 2018, I can’t believe that my first international flight was Korea, my dream country, that was always on the top of my bucket list. It was always my dream to visit the country when i got my passport (kdrama fan here, the wife of Lee Min Ho) haha! Lee Min Ho is the root of everything about my obsession in Korea after watching Boys Over Flower, until one day, my dream became a reality, not as wife of Min Ho though, how i wish!
I thought it will only happen in my dreams, but i was wrong, because nothing is impossible through prayers and of course my friend Jezevyl, who helped me financially especially with my Bank Statement to Airfare Tickets (JinAir). She let me borrowed her money, so that i can join them in Korea with her friends and Kuya Dwight, her husband. Everything was all set, but the real suspense was applying our Visa to Korea. Before we applied for our Visa, I watched many vlogs, read blogs on how/where to apply visa and approved as a first timer. I have many what if’s that time, because we already have our tickets and what if our visa will be denied, and the tickets were non-refundable that it cost (5,000php plus with 20kls luggage). As soon as I complied the requirements, me and ate Jez went to Consulate of the Republic of Korea in Cebu that is located at 12th floor, ChinaBank Corporate Center Samar Loop, Cebu City, 6000, Cebu. We went there early because its opening time is at 9am and we went there at 8:30 and it was not crowded that time.
After we submitted our Documents we went to Ayala to have breakfast. The person who handled our papers told us that we can check the status of our visa in the internet and after 7 days we will find out the result if it’s denied or approved. It’s not yet even 7days and I already check it everyday (I was like paranoid that time). After many days of praying we finally heard a good news that our visa got approved!!! Yeheyyy!!
Another problem, was my outfits to wear, because as you all know now a days, especially on a trip abroad, OOTD is very important and it's a must need. Haha! And so, I went to the malls and checked Terranova, Uniqlo and Ukay-ukay (Thrift Shop) coz they have a lot of stuff and clothes for winter, yes winter!
I’m so excited and nervous at the same time because finally, my dream will become a reality!
So many new experiences happened to our trip, since it was my first winter and i guess my last? ha ha! The first day was just all about photoshoot since it was really cold. The itinerary for our second and third day will be posted on a separate blog.
That was our goal during that travel, to be able to experience winter season since we lived in a tropical country. And i guess, I'm not really a winter person because I wouldn't dare to travel again during winter. The season made me want to just stay at home and sleep in a nice bed with a duvet and turn the heater on. It is not ideal to roam around and experience Seoul in Winter. I'll be back for sure, but i guess I'll choose autumn, spring or summer.
See you on the 2nd part of my Winter Experience! :)
