I just don't understand how a metro system is profitable (apparently) but runs all day every day but yet a train travel from one place to another isn't or so they claim. I don't trust government being involved in it over here and just presume they are lying about things when they try to explain it away.
I had heard the train travel in the UK was bad or expensive and yes, they just keep pushing us towards all having cars. Why is the train so affordable in Asia? I mean it is within everyone's means to use it there, why not in our countries? Laos sure as shit doesn't have the money to keep pumping money into something that isn't breaking even or making money.
