I'm doubling down on the Street Art comps, but this will be my last one in a while, it appears I literally depleted my resources and I found all the new street art that appeared over the summer thanks to the amazing local artists we have in Puebla as well as the local governments' efforts to encourage the development of a more magical and colorful vibe at least in the areas where tourism is a big income revenue for the local populaiton.
I wasn't lying when I told you the street art comps were at full force on my side of the pond. The summer in Mexico brings the best out of the graffiti artists, both because they get commissions to make specific pieces in huge walls in the downtown part of every touristic magic town in order to increase tourism and enhance the magic vibe of the place, but also because many locals decide to chip in to the movement by donating their house walls to any local artist who is willing to make a kick ass painting on top of an old, rusty or damaged graffiti. It embellishes the scenery, the local home owner gets a wall-pimp, the artist get's to show their work and promote their abilities - looking to get a commission - and the town gets more art pieces all around. It's a triple win for everyone.
Oh, and of course it is a win for me, the street art community on Hive, and the overall content creation scene on this blockchain because I get to go on saturday and sunday hunts trying to find these new pieces in order to share them with you.
Anyway, I always like starting with an intro for this posts, but let's get to the real content of the post.
Last Street art comp in a while
This (double) picture was incredibly hard to capture because the street where it is located is narrow as fuck, and the light changes from one place the the other because of the buildings behind and the threes in front, but I managed to take a somewhat good picture after all. Panoramic mode wouldn't work here, and I even had to do some editing on canva so the light of both pictures would somewhat match.
As you can see, it is not the thumbnail, but it is so beautiful and detailed that I decided to leave it as the first picture of the comp so nobody would miss it, you know how it is on Hive, it is highly uncertain that someone will scroll all the way down on a post even if they love it.
I was hesitant on which of these pictures I should use, and it even cross my mind to take separate pictures of this collage in order to expand my comp, in the end I would have six images instead of one and you know how better long posts sell on hive compared to short ones, but I opted to go for the more artsy picture and leave it as a single shot.
I decided to do so because the picture really portrays how Street art is in Mexico. Look at the chaos and yet all the graffiti pieces work together and combine with each other. The house in the background... no painting, the water tanks on top of the roof with no care about how they look, the chaos of the electricity cables, the uneven walls... everything is shouting third world, even the amazing blue sky behind the art.
So now you know why I picked this one for the thumbnail.
I hope you liked this compilation, it was a rather short one compared to my other comps but I realized that the bigger I make this comps, the less attention the pieces in particular will get, so I have decided to leave these comps at 30 photos per post.
If you enjoyed this street art compilation, then you are in for a wild ride, because I have 17 more from all around the world, you can check them out here:
