As a continuation of my two already published posts about street art in Portugal, another part about the city of Lisbon follows today. If you like StreetArt check out my two previous posts as well.

Although I did not had that much time in Lisbon to go on a StreetArt hunt I was lucky enough to find some good work on the streets. More or less by accident.
Let´s start with the probably most famous Streetart building in Lisbon. You will find this place near Praça Marquês de Pombal, the biggest roundabout I ever drove through. Unfortunately the Murals on this building are already fading and of some of the paintings there is nit much left and this is the best preserved. This was directly around the corner of our Hotel so it wasn´t hard for me to find it.
If you´re into StreetArt and really get as much out of your Lisbon visit as possible I would suggest to book a StreetArt Tour with a guide as it is tricky to find all the really good and big Murals. But only by wandering through the city districts you can find some great things as well.
If you think the following one looks familiar to you, you´re right. It´s another great work from Bordalo II, who does some kind of sculptures but on the wall.
In a city like Lisbon that is literally plastered with StreetArt you can not expect that every single one is perfect and clean. That would be too much expectation. That´s why there are always some smaller not so good paintings, sketches, stencils or tags. I like them all, because as we know "Art is the eye of the beholder."
But then, when you least expect it, you will find real art again. I really loved this one as it was something new to me again. Alway great to see artist come up with new ideas.
And again, without searching for it I found a third sculpture of Bordalo II. I knew this one from photos but had no idea where it is. As said many times, if you do not search you will find. :)
Finding good art by night is even harder than during the day. Nevertheless I´ve found these two painting that I actually liked, especially the one with the heads. Both are from a artist called Utopia known for some big murals in Lisbon that I´ll try to find next time.
On the last day on our way to the LX Factory we drove under Lisbon's famous bridge and see what I found there on the huge pillars. The first one is really good, the others look a bit faded or not even finished.
On my next visit to Lisbon I will make sure that I spend at least one whole day only with finding beautiful StreetArt. Most likely I´m going to book one of the Tours to make sure I find the best and newest pieces of Lisbons StreetArt.
