I just walked out of the local butcher here in Lagos, Portugal this morning and detected two new murals. Although I´ve been here many times I haven´t seen them so before.
They looked promising from the distance so I got out of the car again to take some photos..
As I came closer I discovered something unusual. That mustache does not look like it was painted by the original artist, that by the way is Tars8Two, an artist I featured in one of my previous posts.

So in my opinion, the moustache, the tears as well as the crossed crown on the left side are crossings of that beautiful piece of art. The crossed crown could mean a targeted diss against the artist as he uses a crown in his tag.
Same you could see on the other side of that building. Beautiful mural, but crossed with absolute nonsense.
I think that this is just simply stupid and most likely comes from people who don´t have talent. My guess is, that it was the same people who tried to be artists on the long side of that building. As you can see, they´re not really that good. :)
While crossing usually means the following "The spraying of someone else's tags - also known as crosses - is seen as an insult. Especially in the gang subculture of the United States, tags are used to mark the territory of a street gang.", I´m pretty sure here it´s just about envy and stupidity.
If you ever think about doing something that stupid...let it be.
