Hello again 👋🙂 Today's post I decided would be dedicated to my hometown of Hamilton. To be more specific, it is an alleyway in Hamilton that has created some of my favorite pieces of street art and graffiti.
Near the intersection of James Street and Cannon Street is an array of ever-changing art, kept hidden away from the prying eyes of pedestrians. Yesterday I decided to take a peek at the alleyway to find out if any artists had taken it upon themselves to switch things up--and they did!
This piece is what currently resides on the wall. It appears to depict two rabbits, one of whom seems to be holding a carrot like a joint 😄 This artwork is definitely impressive; however, I must say that the piece before it, done by one of my favorite artists known as Bribe, was beautiful!
And before this one was another beautiful piece dedicated to the Tron franchise!
There was this lovely piece at the front of the alleyway. To me, it appears to be a young man dancing to music, losing himself in the beat!
Several years ago, it was once this contemporary take on the classic tale of The Tortoise And The Hare 😄
Another before and after:
The rest of the alley contained some very vivid, colorful graffiti! Although retro 1990s graffiti will always have its place as being revolutionary, I thoroughly enjoy the graffiti of today! So much more color, so many unique techniques..
(This ☝️ one was probably my favorite one of the day! I love the way the purple, orange, and green all compliment one another!)
