When I was in Medellin last November I was staying in El Poblado. Right after arrival to my hotel, I discovered the district has lots of street art. Whether I was walking towards the metro or a restaurant, painted walls are everywhere. All of these were found in the Carrera 43 street when I was just walking around my neighborhood to check out the restaurant La Matriarca.
One of these days when I wanted to check out restaurants in my neighborhood, I came across this long wall. Impressive wall, nicely decorated with many different themes. It is found right in front of the restaurant.
On the opposite side of the street I found this happy looking woman with hair that is very much alive. She is painted on part of the wall besides the restaurant. She has the name of the restaurant on a label in her hair. The artist is FateOne96. You can find more gorgeous work https://www.instagram.com/fateone96/
On the other side of the restaurant og at the corner of the Carrera 43C and Calle 9 this beautiful dragon is decorating the wall. The artist is Jotados, a street artist who is active in both Colombia and Australia.
It was really nice to be staying in a neighborhood with art on every street (and almost every building....) It wasn't just little things either. Many are huge painting covering the whole wall of high buildings. I've shown some of them early on. I was definitely very impressed.
