I love going out and discovering new murals in the streets of my city. Especially because they bring life back to those walls that were dull and deteriorated.
Today I want to share a mural I found in the city of Ejido. In the surroundings of the cultural house and this is precisely what this beautiful work of art transmits. An expression of the culture and traditions of this small Andean town.
Those who follow me, know that I love collages of images and that was the first thing that caught my attention of this mural, as it is a composition of different images that come together to form a work that alone speaks of the culture, history and traditions of Ejido.
The first photo was my favorite part, here we see some people working with sugar cane, this city is known as the city of honey and flowers, because sugar cane is produced and before there were many sugar mills where they produce panela or papelón, also represented the well-known Hacienda el Pilar.
In the second photo, we observe masks, dancers and handicrafts, without a doubt, it is a mural dedicated to the different artistic expressions, in the third, we see some faces of musicians and artists of the region and the fourth the mural culminates with some works of regional architecture and some landscapes and fields of the region.
The mural has some signatures, where no name is identified and also the logo of an organization called CONAC, I imagine they were in charge of this wonderful work, all credits to them.
Another thing I love about this mural is the palette of brown and beige colors they used, it looks like a sepia or vintage photography. Really beautiful and different.
This is my entry to the contest: CCC's Street Art Contest #155, which I invite you to join, so we know all those fantastic murals from around the world.
It was a pleasure to share with you this magnificent expression of art, I hope to continue sharing, more of the urban art of my city.
